  The Quote/Background: The Rapeneau family is France's largest independent   vineyard-order and producer of Champagne. Up until 5 years ago, all of the   company's growth had come from the French domestic market. Now, because of   exports to the UK, the US, Canada and Asia, Rapeneau family Champagnes are   ranked #6 in sales world wide. Jean-Remy Rapeneau, who is in Canada for a week,   dropped in to talk about his wines and the future of Champagnes.
  The Wines: 
  -Champagne Charles de Cazanove Rose Brut Tradition NV, +369108 Vintages,   $54.95: rated four stars (91 points plus), 50% pinot noir, 20% pinot meunier,   15% coteaux champenois rouge, and 15% chardonnay. Orchard fruit.
  -Champagne Victoire Brut Prestige NV, +190025 LCBO, $39.95: rated three and   a half stars (89 – 90), 65% pinot noir, 20% chardonnay, 15% pinot meunier.   Floral and delicate.
  The Food: a wide range of charcuterie (salamis, sausage, prosciutto, pate),   toast points, candied pecans, chutneys, cheeses, olives, cornichons, lobster and   guacamole on tortillas, focaccia salad. There may have been more, but I had to   leave.
