The Date and Time: Monday, September 28, 2015   11AM to 2PM
The Event: A structured tasting of Domaine Pierre Amadieu of Gigondas, led by Henri-Claude Amadieu.
The Venue: The Kitchen Event Room, LCBO #10 Scrivener Square.
  The Target Audience: wine media
The Availability/Catalogue: 4 of the 6 wines are or will available through the LCBO's distribution channels. Two others were for reference tasting only and are not for sale anywhere.
The Quote/Background: I joined the tail end of the discussion but was able to have a private interview with Henri-Claude about his wines and to taste them on my own. While the ABV was 14.5 – 15%, at no time did any of the wines have a hot finish. Good winemaking here. The wines are also unfiltered, from old vines, and grenache/syrah blends. His wines are available here though Macdonald Wines & Spirits, a division of Trilogy Wine Group.
