The Event: Tasting Rioja Bordon Gran Reserva – 7 vintages vertical
  The Venue: National Club
The Target Audience: wine writers and sommeliers
The Availability/Catalogue: in Ontario, only the 2005 GR is available through the LCBO's new Signature collection ($22.95). The agent is Eurovintage.
The Quote/Background: Juan Carlos Llopart, export director of Bodegas Bordon, led the tasting. The winery was founded in 1890 as Bodegas Franco-Espanolas, and since 1984 has concentrated on making old-style Rioja. In addition to the seven GR, we had a variety of other wines that will be making their appearance in the LCBO system.
