The Quote/Background: This is part of the world tour that features wines of the highest standing (three glasses) plus the new bottling of "potential" winners. More than 20% of the wines awarded this year in Italy are labeled as "green", which includes organic and biodynamic wines as well.

The Wines: I was physically unable to taste all wines, but I did try to get around to most agents. I could not make the seminars as I was at the LCBO tasting lab.

The Food: cheeses (Parmigiano Reggiano, creamy and regular Gorgonzola, etc.), breads, focaccia, prosciutto on bread sticks, salads, marinated veggies, orecchiette pasta with veggies and sausage, stew and polenta, tiramisu, cannoli, espresso, etc.

The Downside: I had to taste about 150 wines at the LCBO lab for the wine media before this show, and hence I could not attend the two seminars on Prosecco and Barbera.

The Upside: a great opportunity to taste some stunning wines.
