The Quote/Background: Nigel spoke on the Barossa and the Shiraz grape, with reference to Peter Lehmann (repped in Ontario by Phillipe Dandurand). He describe the Barossa region (Barossa Valley and  Eden Valley) and its 17 sub-regions: the area is responsible for 43% of all Oz premium wine exports; the are has some of the oldest vines in Australia; 550 growers tend to 800 hand-picked vineyards (blocks are kept separate or blended later, depending on quality). Peter Lehmann makes dozens of different wines each year.
