The Date and Time:  Thursday September 19, 2019  3PM to 5PM
The Event: Walk-around tasting of Italian and Spanish high quality wines (Native Grape Odyssey Maestro)
  The Venue: Peter Pan Restaurant
The Target Audience: wine media, sommeliers.
The Availability/Catalogue: all wines are available, mostly by consignment or by private order.
The Quote/Background: Vinitaly International acts as an aggregator for wine producers and helps them establish trade relations with wine markets, through exhibitions, tastings, and courses. They also coordinate the Native Grape Odyssey (NGO) educational project. Funding comes from the EU, the UIV [Italian] and the OIVE [Spanish] promotional groups to lobby for PDO and PGI wines in Japan, Canada and Russia. This tasting will also be back in 2020 in the Fall in Toronto.
The Wines: Coming from the Grandi Marchi, I did not try every wine. All prices should be licensee.

The Downside: I had less time than I had thought, and the room was excessively crowded.
Unfortunately there were also ver few Spanish wines.
The Upside: a chance to taste consignment and private order wines.
