The Date and Time: Thursday February 20, 2020 2PM to 4PM
The Event: Chinese Wine Master Class with Lenz Moser, winemaker and proprietor of Chateau Changyu Moser XV (Ningxia, China).
The Venue: Shangri-La Hotel, Rosedale Room
The Target Audience: wine media, some sommeliers.
The Availability/Catalogue: We tasted four wines that are currently available in Toronto, including a rare blanc de noir from Cabernet Sauvignon (the only one in the world).
The Quote/Background: Lenz Moser talked about China and the modern Chinese wineries of today. Through maps and photos, he talked about his own personal experiences of making wine in China. He gave us excellent tech sheets on each of the wines.
The Wines: There are three levels, the entry-level Helan Mountain Range, the Moser Family, and the Grand Vin.
