The Quote/Background: Montreal sommelier Elyse Lambert was in town to do a quick seminar on Vinho Verde. She poured three wines.

The Wines: There were also Mill Street Organic beer in bottles and Muskoka Weisse on draught.

The Food: Chef Michael Pataran sent out some poached sardines, salmon cherry miso, and Irish salmon tartare with smoked lemon salt. Plus a variety of oysters, principally Fanny Bay (BC) and Shigoku (Washington State).

The Downside: It was roasting on the patio, which is where the entire venue of the restaurant is located.

The Upside: a chance to re-connect with some lovely people and some great oysters.
