April 28, 2010: Austrian Annual Wine Trade Fair

The Time and Date: Wednesday, April 28, 2010 Noon – 4 PM
The Event: Austrian Annual Wine Trade Fair Toronto 2010
The Venue: Rosehill Venus Lounge
The Target Audience: wine trade
The Availability/Catalogue: most wines are available through
consignment or private order, with handful at Vintages. The catalogue
was divided by tables with full information (but no prices). There were
numerous indexes by agent, by region, and by style of wine.
The Quote/Background: 34 Austrian wineries and many winemakers came on
this trip; some were seeking representation.
The Wines: I did not try every wine, but I did try to taste all the
Rieslings, Traminers, etc. I did not try any wineries seeking an agent.
I had had many of the Rabl wines the night before.
