Paul Mas tasting and dinner May 22/13

The Date and Time: Wed May 22, 2013  6PM to 10PM

The Event: Tasting dinner with Jean-Claude Mas, owner and winemaker at Les Domaines Paul Mas.

The Venue: Woods Restaurant, Colborne Street

The Target Audience: wine media

The Availability/Catalogue: the Cabernet Merlot is available at the LCBO (+293134 GL) for $14.95 (the now-twist top 2012 is $13.95 in July). Others are coming.

The Quote/Background: Jean-Claude spoke to the history of the Mas estate and their philosophy of good value. The currently listed Cab Merlot comes from Conas and Nicole in the Languedoc. The Clos des Mures, which is a GSM (or rather an SGM), has southern Rhone tones,

and uses grapes from older vines just south of Herault.

The Wines: We tasted wines in flights and with the dinner.
