The Time and Date: Tuesday, April 28, 2009 2 PM to 6 PM
The Event: Portfolio tasting for Tre Amici Imports.
The Venue: Pantages Hotel and Spa, Victoria Street
The Target Audience: wine trade and press.
The Availability/Catalogue: everything is available, although some
items were not priced.
The Quote/Background: the catalogue is mainly Italian, with Del Dotto
from Napa Valley, Light's View from Australia, Vina Amalia from
Argentina, and Chateau Roubine from Provence. There was beer, grappa,
liqueurs, and Mexican tequila, but I stuck to wine.
The Wines: I did not try all the wines, but I was obligated to try all
the non-Italian wines. Prices are licensee.

The Food: there was a porchetta from Vicentina, assorted sweets from
Dolcini and Secret Ingredient, beef from Beretta Organic Farms, cheeses
from La Ferme, Serrano ham, sorbet from Frozen Vines, and Brick Street
Breads.
The Downside: I had just come from two other wine tastings, and I had
to refresh my palate several times and bear down. It's a tough life.
The Upside: in general, the wines were pretty good, and were nicely
complemented by the foods. It was also not very crowded, which is good
from my point of view (but probably not from the agent's).
The Contact Person: Gerard@treamiciwines.com
The Marketing Effectiveness (numerical grade): 88.
